Communications and engagement coordinator

32 hours/week     \\\     43K to 47K        ///      permanent

The COMMUNICATIONS and ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR support a variety of communications and work to increase member participation in the collective. Successful candidates must show a thorough understanding of Indigenous communities around Lake Winnipeg.

Member Engagement

  • Develop and implement strategies for strengthening membership engagement.

  • Promote the collective’s vision and values to potential members.

  • Coordinate and publish our quarterly member newsletter.

  • Keep track of member information and feedback.

Events coordination 

  • Plan and implementing Indigenous water gatherings and other events.

  • Coordinate community engagement activities, including surveys and meetings.

Public outreach and Communications

  • Update and grow our social media presence.

  • Write and create public education materials highlighting key issues.

  • Keep our website updated and fresh.

  • Support production of our podcast - Niipowitamok/Nipowitan.
